Forensic experts, more commonly known as expert witnesses, conduct examinations of documents or photographs or audio recordings or other things to determine whether those things support or refute specific factual allegations in a case.

Forensic experts will generally issue a report be aware that they can be deposed by your opponent that report may need to be turned over in discovery, and your expert witness may even be called to testify at trial by either side.

So you want to work closely with any forensic experts you hire to make sure that their reporting and conclusions minimize harm to your case.
